Curaçao Is The Chill Caribbean Adventure You’ve Been Searching For

If you’re a creative traveler looking for an idyllic, sunny, and tropical getaway, come to Curaçao. Although it may seem like a lesser-known destination, insiders have been escaping to this Dutch Caribbean island off the northern coast of Venezuela for decades, enjoying its many culturally-rooted excursions and entertainment.

This past summer, we traveled to Curaçao to experience its popular North Sea Jazz Festival — a three-day fest highlighting artists across multiple genres — with headline performances by Snoop Dogg, Tems, Ne-Yo, Ricky Martin, Kool and the Gang, Sheila E. and the E-Train, Gipsy Kings, and more music legends. The event was located at a beautiful beachfront spot on Piscadera Bay, allowing attendees to vibe to music while enjoying a sand-filled paradise just a few steps away.

We stayed at Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino, which was an all-inclusive experience featuring luxury suites and endless food and drinks. One of the most memorable moments of the trip was a half-day snorkel cruise by Irie Tours, where we dived into the crystal-clear water surrounded by corals and marine life. Meditating in the warm Caribbean water felt like a moment that you only get to live out in your dreams. We’ll definitely be back.
