Candice Tasker is the founder of boutique event agency, Facets58.
What was the Lightbulb Moment that inspired you to fully dive into what you do?
You know that feeling that you get when you are in your zone? I mean, really in your zone. You have no second thoughts or doubts about the task at hand and you just do it. That is exactly how I feel when tasked with producing an event, be it large or small. I have worked within the experiential marketing space for 10+ years and the thrill doesn't dissipate regardless of how many events I am working on or how many clients I am handling on a daily basis.
What’s the most unexpected thing you’ve learned in your current career?
There are so many ways to create something that no matter how many people are doing the exact same project, it can and will turn out different.
What often sparks your creativity or gets you into the creative zone?
Being in the space where the event is going to take place. It inspires me to see what I am working with.
What is your unfiltered advice for anyone looking to break into your industry?
It is difficult, and you may feel discouraged but keep going. Nothing falls in your lap, but if you work for it, it will happen for you.
